Sad Kai

For some reason, this image is PERFECT for what I imagine Kai is like when she's depressed. It's adorably depressing and sad. D; It looks like if she was happy, she'd be the cutest thing ever.... I don't know why I like this image so much! So I'm gonna paint Kai.




Started with the eyes, since most of the emotion is read there. I found out on the last image, that it'd be easier to make one eye pupil, completely circle, and then just erase the parts that aren't shown for each eye. That way I don't have to try and make two eyes look good together... So here's the eye so far~


Working more on the eyes. Started painting in the sclera and stuff~ This is taking a lot longer than I thought. It's really hard to do eyes realistically....



More work on the eye~ I think I'm finally satisfied with it....
